I hate it when they listen! (sometimes)

Oh my!

I told my children more then once ( apparently) that it is not nice to say something is ugly, just because it is not your taste... a lot of people put a lot of time, effort and love into making things by hand and that is, what should be appreciated.

Well... I was looking at some stuff online today and uttered the unmentionable word!
I said: "Oh my gosh, this is Uuuuugly!"
My daughter - sitting and browsing with me- looked at me with this "wise-beyond-her-years-look"and said (with index finger shaking at me): "MOM!!! It's just not your taste.!" In answer of my puzzled look she added: "It is not nice to say what someone else made is ugly!"

Sheeesh!

New Socks...

Yes I managed to get something done! WOHOOOO!
A pair of toe up socks... I don't like toe up socks! I am going to make another pair cuff down!
Toe up is an evil conspiracy, only invented to absolutely cost me my last few tattered nerves!!!
I am convinced of it!
Toe up socks never... NEVER fit me right!
This pair was rescued by my daughter. Fearlessly she offered to wear them :)
I have already yarn for more here (bought yesterday on a trip "to town")
I am thinking of cables....yes wonderfully twisted stitches, winding themselves up (well down) the cuff... aaaaaah...

yarn for these: interlacements tiny toes, needles size US1. no pattern..just straight up...

Funny thing happened on the way to the library...

...and I had no place to blog it! So I decided to dust of the spiderwebs.

Here we go again: almost live and in color.

Just because this blog was closed and I didn't write anything, doesn't mean nothing was happening though!
As a matter of fact, a ton of things have been going on. I will not list everything here, but let it suffice to say: I was busy.... Nose to the grindstone and all that.
I closed this blog, because I thought, I had no time. I found out, I missed rambling on about things.
Now, out of the dark recesses here it comes, new and improved (?) .

I am still knitting and spinning. Lots of it. I have pictures of the last few knitting projects over here.

Well, this post is boring!
Boy do I have to get back into the swing of things!

ATTENTION! Some "remodeling" has to be done...

I have decided, to separate my design from my own personal stuff!
To accomplish this, I have opened a new blog, where all my "work" will be up to look at. It will have my lace and some custom knitting/spinning on it. All my free patterns will be there from now on also!
